Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care in adult and neonatal units, including Labor and Delivery. The role requires strong patient education and collaboration with medical teams.

Responsibilities include blood gas analysis, equipment maintenance, and ongoing education for patients and families. Weekend 7pm-7am shift available, with opportunities for professional growth within Piedmont.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory therapy is required.
• Experience in neonatal respiratory care or completion of department orientation with skills validation is required.
• Licenses/certifications must be obtained upon hire.

• Conduct blood gas analysis and interpretation.

Required Hours: Weekend Option 7pm-7am

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
