Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide neonatal and general respiratory care for both adult and neonatal patients. The role emphasizes high-quality patient care and education, with weekend night shifts (7pm–7am) as required.

The position requires a Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, and credentials including RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS upon hire. Prior neonatal experience and strong teamwork are valued in this hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required.
• Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care or validated orientation.
• Licenses/Certifications: RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care procedures for adults and newborns.

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
