Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support adult and neonatal patients, including those in Labor and Delivery. The role includes weekend night shifts (7pm–7am) and requires solid neonatal respiratory care experience.

You will perform assessments, procedures, and equipment management, while educating patients and families. Required credentials include an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, RRT, and certifications such as BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required.
• Previous neonatal respiratory care experience or completion of department orientation with competency validation required.
• RRT certification by NBRC and state license required upon hire.
• BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS required upon hire.

• Performs patient assessments and general and critical care respiratory care procedures.
• Maintains and manages respiratory care equipment and provides patient and family education.
• Provides respiratory care for adult and neonatal patients, including in Labor and Delivery.

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
