Job summary

Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA is seeking an experienced RN for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The role requires nursing licensure in PA, at least 6 months of RN experience, and BLS/ACLS readiness.

You will provide direct patient care, monitor neonatal patients, and maintain detailed medical records. The position is full-time at 0.90 FTE with day shifts and a schedule of 3-12 hour shifts per week, including every 3rd weekend.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in the state.
• BLS certification required prior to orientation; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• At least 6 months RN experience; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems, develop nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
• Administer nursing care and medications; monitor for adverse reactions and side effects.
• Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention; document changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and respond to patient needs during shifts.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Six (6) months RN experience

Active RN license in the state

BLS required prior to orientation completion

ACLS required within 6 months of hire

Bachelor's degree in Nursing
