Job summary

Penn State Health St Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA seeks a board-certified neonatologist to join a 3-physician division with 2 APNs providing 24/7 NICU coverage in a level 2 unit. The role involves daytime care, on-call from home, and leadership in bedside rounds for active NICU management.

The ideal candidate will be MD/DO or foreign equivalent, with eligibility to obtain a Pennsylvania medical license.

Qualifications

• Board-certified neonatologist required.
• MD, D.O., or foreign equivalent.
• Ability to acquire a PA license to practice. (Commonwealth of Pennsylvania)

Responsibilities

• Facilitate rounds and actively manage NICU patients (vent weaning, nutrition adjustments, labs).
• Provide daytime coverage with on-call from home; 24/7 coverage by the team.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers and staff to ensure high-quality care and family communication.
