Job summary

Penn State Health - St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA, is seeking a Registered Nurse for weekend coverage in Critical Care. The role supports inpatient care with a 0.90 FTE, night shift differential, and hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Eligible applicants may receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus and tuition discounts for eligible employees and dependents. The RN will assess health problems, implement and monitor nursing care plans, administer medications, and maintain detailed medical records

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required prior to the end of the orientation period

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs and develop nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and administer nursing care to patients.
• Administer medications while monitoring for reactions and side effects and report changes in patient condition.
