Job summary

The Ohio State University Medical Center's University Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit seeks an Associate Nurse Manager to support 24-hour patient care operations and to help implement the nursing professional practice model.

Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, you will coach and evaluate bedside staff, collaborate across departments, and work to improve patient outcomes, family involvement, and overall NICU performance. A BSN is required; MSN preferred; Ohio RN license required.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing required.
• Masters in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Two years of clinical experience in patient care setting required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organization, direction and evaluation of patient care operations on a 24-hour basis.
• Coach, guide and evaluate the work performance of patient care staff in a designated area.
• Collaborate with other departments to support patient care operations and services.
• Lead in implementing the nursing professional practice model and support the department's mission.
