Job summary

The Ohio State University Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit seeks an Associate Nurse Manager - NICU (Nocturnal) to assist in planning, directing and evaluating 24-hour patient care operations. You will help lead a team of care providers in delivering patient-focused care, ensuring effective collaboration and outcomes in the NICU.

Required is a baccalaureate degree in nursing with an Ohio RN license and at least two years of clinical nursing experience; a Master's degree is preferred.

Position Summary

The Associate Nurse Manager assists with the planning, organization, direction and evaluation of patient care operations for a designated area(s) on a 24-hour basis. The Associate Nurse Manager is key in operationalizing the Medical Center’s mission, values and goals and assists in creating an environment that supports the nursing professional practice model. The Associate Nurse Manager contributes to the ongoing operations of the Nursing Department. The Associate Nurse Manager, under the guidance of the Manager, assists in managing, guiding, coaching, and evaluating the work performance of patient care staff in a designated area. Ongoing collaboration with other patient care departments/areas that relate directly or indirectly to patient care operations and services is essential.

Minimum Education Required

Baccalaureate degree in nursing required, Masters in Nursing or related field is preferred. Current Ohio RN license. Two years of clinical experience in patient care setting required.
