Job summary

WVU Hospitals in Morgantown, WV is seeking a capable Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will support high-quality, cost-effective care and interact with patients and families to ensure a family-centered approach.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, transport, phlebotomy, and basic rehab support, while adhering to safety and infection control policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct patient care with basic physical care as directed by RN.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and make assigned beds.
• Transport patients and specimens safely to tests, procedures, and discharge.
• Perform routine phlebotomy and glucose monitoring per policy.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and patient data per policy.
• Provide respiratory support and oxygen setup as needed.
• Report patient concerns to RN immediately.
• Assist with examinations and procedures as directed by physicians and RN.
