Job summary

Qualifications

• Performs direct patient care under supervision of a nurse and assists in basic physical care for patient comfort.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and bedmaking as needed.
• Transports patients and specimens, and escorts for tests and discharge.
• Performs routine phlebotomy and glucose monitoring per policy; notes exceptions on unit.
• Records vital signs and weights; reports changes to RN.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment to prevent infections.

• Document vitals and observe changes for RN when needed.
