Hourly Wage Estimate: $26.52 - $40.90 / hour

Job Summary

This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center to optimize the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The NICU dietitian functions within the multidisciplinary team to provide nutritional care for all infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities

The NICU dietitian provides nutrition assessment and intervention, educates staff and families, develops policies and procedures, participates in data collection projects, and serves as a consultant to the entire healthcare team. When needed, the dietitian performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor of Science or Arts and/or master’s degree in food & nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: RD (Registered Dietician) or RDN (Registered Dietician Nutritionist); CNSC or CSP.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a NICU preferred.
  • Special Qualifications: Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Degree of supervision required: General guidance and direction by the Clinical Nutrition Manager. Employees expected to perform most job duties independently.
  • Ages of Patients Served: Knowledge of growth and developmental needs of patients and families, ability to respond to behaviors in each age category.
