Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Patient Care Assistant to support the care team under supervision.

The role involves direct patient care activities, data collection, and helping maintain a safe, comfortable environment for pediatric patients. You will mentor students and new staff, participate in rounds, and ensure accurate charting, supply management, and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Patient care experience is preferred and may be required within the stated timeframe.
• Current LNA, CNA, or EMT certification (AZ) or successfully completed clinical nursing skills portion of an accredited nursing program (RN within 2 years of date of hire).
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record routine patient data under supervision to ensure accuracy of patient charts.
• Perform basic patient care activities to support comfort and safety of patients.
• Mentor students and new staff, providing guidance and clinical instruction.
