Responsibilities

• As directed and supervised by healthcare professional; collects and records routine patient data to ensure ongoing accuracy of patient chart.
• As directed and supervised; performs basic patient care activities to provide for comfort and safety of the patient.
• Identifies and reports unusual findings or observations to healthcare professional for timely intervention.
• Maintains inventory levels of stock items, supplies, and equipment; photocopies and files documents for efficient unit operations.
• Participates in in-service programs, meetings, and daily care rounds to understand care plan changes and expectations.
• Greets patients, families, visitors, and care team members; answers calls and provides unit orientation to patients and families.
• Assemble patient charts for admissions and enter admission orders and demographics to ensure complete records.
