Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Assistant to provide age-appropriate supervision, support, and basic clinical care under the guidance of a Clinical Nurse and in accordance with Arizona EMS regulations.

You will assist in daily patient care activities, monitor vital signs, and support patients and families while maintaining safety and confidentiality in a dynamic pediatric environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Patient care experience preferred.
• 2 years in behavioral health related field preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record vital signs and routine patient data.
• Assist in applying splints and CPR during emergencies.
• Obtain blood specimens as directed by physician.
• Maintain unit environment and inventory of stock items and equipment.
• Provide continuous therapeutic care and supervision to patients.
• Respond to crisis situations to ensure safety.
• Educate parents on behavioral/emotional techniques and safety.
• Serve as 1:1 sitter for medical or behavioral needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in rounds.
