Job summary

Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Nashville seeks a NF1 PNand HPP Patient Education Manager (PEM) to educate patients and families, conduct 1:1 meetings, and deliver in-person and virtual programs that raise awareness of NF1 and HPP.

You will partner with the Patient Advocacy team, build local engagement plans, coordinate with cross-functional partners, travel 60–80% across NC/SC/VA/TN, and connect communities to approved resources while tracking progress for leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years business experience in the healthcare industry.
• Experience engaging with patients and caregivers with rare/chronic conditions.
• Empathy for others with proven ability to listen well, connect meaningfully, and present complex information in a clear and engaging manner during 1:1 meetings.
• High initiative, solid work ethic, and consistent accountability.
• Ability to travel 60-80% of time, including evenings and weekends; territory includes NC, SC, VA, TN.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Excellent presentation skills to diverse stakeholders in varied settings (groups of 150+).

Responsibilities

• Develop regional patient engagement plans with cross-functional partners.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Medical, and Patient Advocacy to execute local outreach.
• Educate patients and families about NF1 and HPP and Alexion’s patient support programs in 1:1 meetings.
• Conduct in-person or virtual educational events on behalf of Alexion.
• Educate offices on the PEM role and OneSource via inservices (live and virtual).
• Build a rare disease network of NF1 PN and HPP advocates through local advocacy events.
• Track year-to-date progress and report to leadership.
