Job summary

Midway Baptist Church in Navarre, FL seeks a NextGen Pastor to lead youth and oversee children’s ministry, guiding birth through college. This full-time role reports to the Senior Pastor and requires a called, biblically grounded leader.

You will build teams, plan weekly activities, mentor students, care for families, and ensure safety. The church offers a competitive package, housing, and ongoing mentorship on Florida’s Emerald Coast.

Qualifications

• Calling & character: mature, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and clear calling.
• Theological alignment: Baptist Faith and Message 2000; 1 Timothy 3 & Titus 1.
• Skills: strong organizational, administrative, and relational skills.
• Experience: 3–5 years in ministry leadership with youth ministry success.
• Education: BA in theology/ministry; SBC seminary preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead weekly youth activities, messages, groups, retreats, and trips.
• Supervise children’s ministry staff and volunteers with unified vision.
• Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteer teams for kids and youth.
• Equip parents through training and home discipleship resources.
• Provide biblical counseling and care to youth and families.
• Manage budgets, safety policies, and curriculum review.
• Assist Senior Pastor in preaching, ordinances, hospital visits, and ceremonies.
