Job summary

Cherry Point Baptist Church seeks a Next Generation Pastor to complement the senior pastor, focusing on recruiting, discipleship, and growing children, teens, young adults and young families in faith. This role aligns with the church's mission to share Jesus Christ and grow believers.

The position requires biblical alignment, at least two years of ministry experience, and a preferred bachelor’s or advanced degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of ministry experience.
• Biblical alignment with New Testament church teachings.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement unified age-appropriate pathways connecting children, teens, young adults and young families.
• Recruit, train, motivate and equip volunteers to participate in church ministries and outreach within budget constraints.
• Perform pastoral duties such as preaching and other tasks as necessary.
• Oversee Next Generation curriculum, programs, activities, and community outreach.
• Engage with publicity personnel regarding social media account(s) input and access.
