Engage Management is seeking a skilled Maintenance Tech for Newbury Flats in St. Charles, MO. You’ll keep the property visually appealing and functionally sound, performing preventative maintenance and making make-readies.

Strong HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair skills with excellent customer service are essential. You will coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor, manage work orders in Rent Manager, and be on call as needed to support the on-site team and upkeep of the

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience managing a diverse workforce and driving performance through staff.
• HVAC certification.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property to be visually immaculate and functionally sound.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pools/fountains, and appliances; provide customer service.
• Complete and update work orders; communicate status with Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ensure preventative maintenance deadlines are met and participate in team meetings.
• Perform make-readies and inventory checks; be on call as scheduled.
• Report issues and document in Rent Manager; support Maintenance Supervisor and team.

MAINTENANCE TECH: Reports to: Property Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Overview

Join our team at Newbury Flats and make a difference! We're seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Tech to help preserve the beauty and functionality of our property. In this role, you'll ensure residents enjoy a comfortable, well-maintained community.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the physical property is visually impeccable and functionally sound
• General knowledge and troubleshooting skills of –
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Pools / Fountains
  • Appliance Repair
  • Customer Service
• Required to lift or handle 80-100lbs on a regular basis
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• EPA Section 608 Type I Certification Preferred
• Communicate daily with Maintenance Supervisor concerning status of work orders, make readies, property projects, etc.
• Complete work orders as assigned
• Ensure all issues are reported and documented in Rent Manager
• Perform and complete make readies
• Responsible for making sure preventative maintenance deadlines are met as outlined by Regional Maintenance Manager and directed by Maintenance Supervisor
• Conduct inventory check as required
• Perform transportation inspections as required
• Be on call as scheduled by Property Manager
• Be an active participant in maintenance team Group Text
• Complete all training as required
• Backup for Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Porter
• Required Meetings: weekly property team meeting, quarterly onsite meeting, quarterly team building meeting, semi-annual training, State of Engage annual meeting

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with the ability to drive to daily activities
• Experience managing a diverse workforce; ability to manage conflict, provide direction, and drive results through staff performance management
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers one-on-one or in groups
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions and resolve standardized problems involving a few concrete variables
• HVAC certification
• Ability to frequently sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs and occasionally over 100 lbs; ability to climb ladders
