Argenta Flats is seeking a skilled Maintenance Tech to preserve the property's beauty and functionality. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, pools/fountains, and appliances, ensuring residents enjoy a well-maintained community.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and HVAC certification; EPA Section 608 Type I preferred. The role is full-time and in-person, with on-call duties and a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the property is visually impeccable and functionally sound.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pools/fountains, and appliances.
• Lift or handle 80-100 lbs regularly.
• Drive to daily activities with a valid license.
• Complete work orders and document in Rent Manager.
• Maintain preventative maintenance deadlines as directed.
• Be on call as scheduled by Property Manager.
• Backup for Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Porter.

MAINTENANCE TECH:

Reports to: Property Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Overview

Join our team at Argenta Flats and make a difference! We're seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Tech to help preserve the beauty and functionality of our property. In this role, you'll ensure residents enjoy a comfortable, well-maintained community.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the physical property is visually impeccable and functionally sound
• General knowledge and troubleshooting skills of –
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Pools / Fountains
  • Appliance Repair
  • Customer Service
• Required to lift or handle 80-100lbs on a regular basis
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• EPA Section 608 Type I Certification Preferred
• Communicate daily with Maintenance Supervisor concerning status of work orders, make readies, property projects, etc.
• Complete work orders as assigned
• Ensure all issues are reported and documented in Rent Manager
• Perform and complete make readies
• Responsible for making sure preventative maintenance deadlines are met as outlined by Regional Maintenance Manager and directed by Maintenance Supervisor
• Conduct inventory check as required
• Perform transportation inspections as required
• Be on call as scheduled by Property Manager
• Be an active participant in maintenance team Group Text
• Complete all training as required
• Backup for Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Porter
• Required Meetings: weekly property team meeting, quarterly onsite meeting, quarterly team building meeting, semi-annual training, State of Engage annual meeting

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with the ability to drive to daily activities
• Experience managing a diverse workforce; ability to manage conflict, provide direction, and drive results through staff performance management
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers one-on-one or in groups
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions and resolve standardized problems involving a few concrete variables
• HVAC certification
• Ability to frequently sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs and occasionally over 100 lbs; ability to climb ladders
