Job summary

Newbury Flats in St. Charles, MO is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance, custodial, and grounds teams while preserving the property's beauty and functionality.

This full-time role reports to the Property Manager and requires HVAC certification, a valid driver's license, and strong safety and team-management skills.

You will handle inventory, respond to work orders, schedule preventive maintenance, and coordinate with vendors to keep the community running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of related experience/training.
• Valid driver’s license for daily travel.
• Experience managing a diverse workforce and driving performance.
• Ability to read safety rules and maintenance manuals; write routine reports.
• Strong communication skills with customers and teams.
• HVAC certification required.
• Physical ability to frequently sit, stand, lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally over 100 lbs; climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies for maintenance, custodial, and grounds teams.
• Respond to work orders, make-readies, and related tasks.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance.
• Ensure OSHA safety standards and company policies are followed.
• Fulfill on-call responsibilities.
• Directly supervise in-house and/or vendor work.
• Schedule product reviews to avoid drop-in sales calls.
• Research and evaluate products used in community maintenance and upkeep.
• Analyze and resolve work problems with the team.
• Initiate or suggest plans to motivate the team toward goals.
• Maintain tools and equipment inventory and upkeep.
• Communicate with vendors/contractors on scheduling and billing.
• Maintain professional appearance and attitude; adhere to company policies.
• Pursue self-improvement and education opportunities.
