The Tennessee Department of Health, Division of Laboratory Services, seeks a detail-oriented Public Health Laboratory Technician II to support the Newborn Screening Program. This role will assist with accessioning, data entry, inventory management, and overall laboratory operations to ensure timely and accurate newborn screening results.

You will contribute to data quality, maintain records, and help train other technicians, fostering a compliant and efficient lab environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of laboratory experience in a clinical, medical, scientific, public health, or related laboratory setting.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a criminal background check.

Aufgaben

• Receive, accession, and process laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently.
• Perform data entry and verify patient demographic information.
• Support laboratory testing operations and workflow management.
• Maintain laboratory records and documentation in compliance with established procedures.
• Assist with inventory management, supply receiving, storage, and distribution.
• Prepare laboratory materials, reagents, and supplies.
• Support equipment maintenance and general laboratory operations.
• Train and assist other laboratory technicians as needed.
