Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an on-site Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings and educate families on results and next steps. On-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification are provided.

This entry-level position requires strong communication, reliability, and physical stamina to stand, lift, and move equipment. Weekend/holiday availability is required, with collaboration with hospital staff to ensure timely

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Educate parents on screening relevance and early intervention.
• Evaluate patient readiness before screening to ensure reliable results.
• Document all data and results accurately and complete any reporting.
• Notify supervisor of missed screens and refer babies.
• Schedule outpatient follow-up for referred babies as appropriate.
