Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking an entry‑level Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns.

The role includes educating parents about the importance of early detection and coordinating with hospital staff to ensure accurate data and reporting. The technician will work on-site at one or more hospital locations, with on-the-job training and annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Willingness to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct newborn hearing screens at hospital locations.
• Provide education to parents about screening results and next steps.
• Collect demographic data and document results per protocol.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety policies.
• Schedule outpatient follow-up for refer babies and report metrics each shift.
