Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform bedside hearing screenings in hospital settings. On-site at multiple hospital locations, you will complete annual certification and deliver parent education on early intervention.

You will ensure screen readiness, accurately collect data, and maintain documentation while upholding safety and patient confidentiality. Training is provided and on-site support is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain it upon offer.
• Must be flexible to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents on the importance of early intervention.
• Evaluate patient readiness before screening and ensure reliable results.
• Collect demographic data, perform screens, and document outcomes per protocol.
• Provide care and education to families and coordinate results with guardians.
• Upload results and state reporting by end of each shift; notify supervisor of missed/referred babies.
