Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in the hospital after birth, on-site at Greenville area facilities. You will screen newborns for hearing loss and provide parent education.

The role includes on-the-job training with annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology, ensuring staff are equipped to support early detection and timely intervention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CPR certification required or obtained on offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing at hospital, ensuring readiness and reliability.
• Collect data/demographics and document all screen results and related services.
• Provide education to parents about the screen and results.
• Notify supervisor of missed and refer babies; schedule outpatient follow-ups when needed.
• Maintain compliance with PPE, vaccinations, and hospital policies.
