Job summary

Hearing Screening Associates is seeking a part-time Newborn Hearing Screening Technician at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambrige, MA. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One or more years of healthcare or childcare training/experience, or related college curriculum is a plus.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Ability to function independently in a high-paced environment.
• Ability to attend all company provided training.
• Willingness and ability to learn and operate hearing screening equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct newborn hearing screenings on all infants in the well baby and NICU units prior to discharge; coordinate post-discharge follow up care as needed.
• Work with nursing staff, patients, and parents to communicate relevance of screening and early identification.
• Analyze and communicate responses to problem situations per company and customer needs.
• Maintain and use hearing screening equipment; assist with database management.
• Interact with hospital departments; follow policies and procedures of HSA and hospitals.
• Uphold code of conduct and compliance policies.
• After training, have thorough knowledge of variables and instrumentation for Transient OAEs and/or ABR technology.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
