Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based newborn hearing screens, educate families, and ensure accurate data collection and documentation. Training and annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology are provided.

You will work on-site at hospital locations, adhere to safety protocols, and support timely follow-up for referred babies. A strong emphasis is placed on patient education and compassion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification is required or must be obtained upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Educate parents on the significance of screening and early intervention.
• Collect patient demographics and ensure accuracy of screening data.
• Document and upload screen results and related billing/state reports.
• Coordinate with Site Supervisor on missed or referred babies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for referred babies when appropriate.
