Job summary

L2x Talent Solutions is seeking an accomplished manufacturing engineering leader to guide New Product Launch projects in Illinois. You will drive product introductions, oversee specification and process changes, and manage capital equipment decisions to meet budget and ROI goals.

You will mentor and develop New Product Launch Engineers and Technicians, lead lean manufacturing initiatives, and partner with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure on-time delivery, safety, and sustained

Qualifications

10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with supervisory roles.
Strong knowledge of part print specifications and requirements.
Expertise in milling, turning, and Swiss machining processes.
Lean manufacturing, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
Labor analysis, time studies, and work measurement.

Responsibilities

Lead New Product Launch Engineering to meet customer demand and profit goals.
Oversee preparation and implementation of product launches, spec changes, and process changes.
Define and recommend capital equipment; prepare investment budgets and payback analyses.
Prepare and manage implementation plans for new part projects.
Review and create manufacturing work instructions and ERP routings.
Lead lean initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Mentor and coach New Product Launch Engineers and Technicians.
Provide training on process changes to production teams.
Ensure safety, quality, and performance metrics are met.
