Job summary

Resolve Pain is seeking a New Patient Scheduler / Referral Coordinator to convert referrals into scheduled visits. You will process referrals, contact patients promptly, and ensure documentation and insurance requirements are complete.

You will enter data into ReferralMD and eClinicalWorks, educate patients about appointments, and coordinate with providers to meet access benchmarks. This role is pivotal for growth and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical scheduling, call center, or patient access.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks and/or ReferralMD preferred.
• Solid knowledge of insurance types (commercial, Medicaid, WC, Medicare).
• Exceptional phone etiquette and clear patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process new patient referrals and enter them into ReferralMD/ClinicalWorks the same day.
• Review referrals for completeness: diagnosis, insurance info, documentation.
• Assign referrals to providers and locations per scheduling guidelines.
• Contact patients within the same business day and schedule initial consultations.
• Educate patients on documentation, expectations, and arrival instructions.
• Send appointment confirmations via phone, text, or portal.
• Verify insurance benefits and referral requirements; route authorizations when needed.
• Document all patient contacts, maintain demographics, and handoffs to front desk.
• Meet access benchmarks and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.
