Job summary

Capitol Pain Institute is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Scheduler to manage provider schedules and ensure accurate patient appointments. The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to handle high-volume calls in a clinical or corporate setting.

You will verify demographics and insurance, provide pre-appointment instructions, and coordinate with offshore teams on escalations. A proactive, patient-focused approach is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous scheduling experience in a medical setting and EMR systems preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities.
• Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with call centers or BPO vendors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage provider schedules and ensure accurate appointments.
• Answer multi-line phone calls professionally and assess patient needs.
• Verify demographics and insurance information; update medical history as needed.
• Provide pre-appointment instructions and required documents.
• Coordinate with offshore agents for scheduling escalations and complex rescheduling.
• Organize and scan documents into EMR; onboard new providers with scheduling preferences.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure seamless operations.
