Qualifications

• Medical Assistant coursework preferred; five years MA in office may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule new outpatient referrals in a timely and efficient manner.
• Enter required patient demographic and insurance information into the practice management system accurately.
• Schedule satellite clinic appointments and prep patient charts in advance of visits.
• Monitor physician schedules and availability; place new patients into open slots per protocol.
• Provide weekly updates on provider schedules and openings.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR and protect PHI.
• Answer calls professionally and transfer as needed; assist patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, staff, and payors to support patient care.
