Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, AZ is seeking a new graduate Registered Nurse for a full-time New Nurse Experience residency. The program mentors you on a dedicated unit, with preceptors guiding clinical skills and electronic health record training.

Successful candidates will be mentored for at least 12 months on their assigned unit, with weekend/holiday rotations and a focus on professional growth, teamwork, and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN is preferred; ADN considered at select locations.
• Current BLS certification required or able to obtain before start date.
• Must live within a reasonable commute distance of the facility.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for new grads.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care with input from patient and family.
• Implement care per physician orders and nursing plan of care.
• Coordinate and supervise nursing staff and other personnel.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plan accordingly.
• Document care in the patient record and communicate with the team.
• Support education and orientation of staff and precept new grads.
