Job summary

Banner Health's University Medical Center Tucson is seeking an experienced RN for the Surgical Progressive Care PCU (PCU Surgical) in Tucson, AZ. This full-time day-shift role involves high-paced, 24-bed units with vented patient management and diverse post-surgical care responsibilities.

The position emphasizes assessment, planning, and coordination of care, with opportunities for professional growth and collaboration within a Magnet-recognized facility.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the state of practice (or compact/state licensure).
• BLS certification is required; additional certifications may be required by unit.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree; experience in acute care settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, cultural, and discharge needs.
• Formulate and update a plan of care with patient/family input and medical team input.
• Implement and coordinate care per physician orders and nursing plan of care.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plan as needed.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions, and outcomes in the patient record.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and mentor junior staff as needed.
