Boston Medical Center (BMC) invites new graduate nurses to join the New Graduate RN Residency program in the Surgical Step Down (IMCU) unit. The program supports transition to practice with a four-month orientation before assuming a dedicated unit role.

New graduates are hired in cohorts and commit to a two-year stay in critical care roles, or one year in other units after orientation, with strong emphasis on clinical decision-making and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers is required.
• Flu vaccination required prior to start.
• Registration and current RN licensure in MA in good standing preferred prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for patients and families.
• Deliver care on a Surgical Step Down unit following established policies and standards.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.
