Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson offers a New Nurse Experience RN Residency Program designed to transition new graduates into proficient, professional nurses. The program runs full-time with mentored clinical experiences across units, including a preceptor-led orientation and rotations that support long-term career pathways.

Nurses work three 12-hour night shifts, participate in state-of-the-art simulation, and engage in continuous education while building professional relationships across Banner

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation (within 60 days) from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations
• Current BLS card (through American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain certification before a start date
• No more than 12 months of RN experience
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess and document nursing care according to policy and professional standards.
• Develop and revise plans of care in collaboration with the patient and multidisciplinary team.
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate with staff to ensure safe, effective treatment.
• Mentor and precept during orientation and training of new grads.
• Document accurately and communicate patient status to the care team.
• Participate in ongoing education and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
