Job summary

Banner Health is offering a New Nurse Experience residency for new graduates in Glendale, AZ. This full-time RN position provides a structured transition from student to licensed nurse with clinical mentored experiences and multiple career pathways.

Successful candidates will work in Banner Health facilities with unit-based preceptors, comprehensive orientation, and access to Banner’s Total Rewards package including health, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Recent or Upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program
• BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain before start date
• No more than 12 months of RN experience
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
• Formulate and implement a plan of care including discharge planning with patient/family involvement.
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate/delegate activities of the health care team.
• Evaluate patient progress and revise the plan of care as needed.
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
• Participate in mentoring and precepting others as appropriate.
• Contribute to quality and safety by evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary collaboration.
