Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, Arizona, seeks a recent nursing graduate for its New Nurse Experience (NNE) Residency Program. This full-time RN role supports transition from student to competent professional, with clinical mentorship, unit postings, and organized development pathways.

Most new grads will work three 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday rotations, in a Cardiothoracic PCU unit (6EW). A comprehensive benefits package is included, aiding your career growth and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations.
• Current BLS card (through AHA, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain certification before a start date.
• No more than 12 months of RN experience.
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care per policy.
• Develops discharge plans in collaboration with patient/family and health team.
• Co-ordinates care and supervises activities of the health care team.
• Documents assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and participates in precepting and mentoring when appropriate.
