Job summary

The HCA Healthcare Residency Program at Overland Park Regional Medical Center provides a structured, paid transition for new graduate nurses advancing to Registered Nurse roles within a supportive teaching environment.

You will participate in advanced clinical training, monthly education sessions, and a formal preceptorship while working on high-acuity units and contributing to evidence-based patient care.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Other Certifications may be required during employment.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests.
• Teach patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up.
