Job summary

The HCA Healthcare Residency Program at Overland Park Regional Medical Center provides a paid, year‑long transition from student nurse to registered nurse, with structured learning experiences and mentorship in a high‑acuity environment.

As an RN Resident, you will coordinate and deliver high quality, patient‑centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, gaining hands‑on experience in critical care pathways and evidence‑based practice projects.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS within 1 year of employment.
• RN license or Graduate Nurse in the state.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• No previous experience required.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and assess condition on admission and during shifts.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered and document care.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow‑ups.
