Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center offers a Nurse Residency Program for new graduate RNs. The program provides hands-on experience, mentorship from experienced nurses, and structured learning to ease the transition from student nurse to registered nurse in a high-acuity hospital setting.

The residency includes advanced clinical training, monthly education sessions, preceptorship, and practical assessments designed to build clinical skills and confidence in patient care.

Qualifications

• BLS certification due within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification due within 1 year of employment.
• Other certifications may be required during employment.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care as part of the RN Residency.
• Participate in a structured program with hands-on experiences and simulations.
• Engage in evidence-based projects and collaborate with care teams.
• Learn through predefined clinical training, education sessions, and preceptorship.
