Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) for Progressive Care (Step down) at St. Charles Hospital. You will deliver compassionate nursing care, coordinate with care teams, and support patient stability in an intermediate acuity setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or RN applicant.
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care, ACLS required within 6 months of hire)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes data, creates and evaluates a plan of care
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement
• Administer medications in a safe manner per practice/state policies
• Other duties as assigned
