Job summary

Mercy Health in the United States is seeking a New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Progressive Care (Step down) team at St. Charles Hospital. You will deliver high-quality nursing care on nights, coordinating with the Med-Surg and ICU services.

The role emphasizes assessment, care planning, patient safety, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. New grads encouraged; BSN preferred; RN licensure required; ACLS/BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required or in progress.
• BLS or ACLS preferred at hire (ACLS within 6 months).
• BSN preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Serves as point of contact for patients’ care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the organization’s policies
• Other duties as assigned
