Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a registered nurse for our 8 Mainis medical-surgical floor with telemetry capabilities. The role involves patient assessment, care planning, and collaborative care to ensure safety and quality outcomes. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Responsibilities include nursing process application, documentation in EHR, and potential floating to other units as needed. BLS certification is required, with BSN preferred and state licensure current.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing education program.
• Active registered nurse (RN) license with privileges where care is provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.
• Telehealth/telenursing may require licensure in patient location.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely according to protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
