Job summary

Atrium Health is hiring for a Registered Nurse on a 14-bed adult medical-surgical observation/inpatient unit with short stays and fast turnover. The role emphasizes teamwork, evidence-based practice, and a strong, high-energy environment.

The nurse will apply the nursing process, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes while maintaining safety and quality standards. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program with RN license and BLS required.
• Active multistate or single-state RN license to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• Must comply with telehealth/virtual practice licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans with the care team.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making.
