Job summary

IMEG Corp in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Mechanical Engineering New Graduate to work with experienced engineers on HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design and analysis. You will participate in project delivery, client communication, and cross-functional teamwork, gaining hands-on design experience from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts for technical plans and specifications.
• Strong technical and analytical skills in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics for building systems.
• Experience with engineering software including HVAC load calculation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Basic knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and communicate technical information.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and budget considerations.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress with senior staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to quality control processes to meet standards.
• Stay current with industry trends and new technologies.
• Support safety by identifying potential risks in mechanical systems.
• Travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays.
