Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Ontario, CA, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering New Grad to contribute to HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design for educational projects. You will work under mentorship on analysis, design, and project execution, gaining hands‑on experience from day one.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross‑functional teams, client communication, and adherence to IMEG quality standards, with an anticipated December 2026 start.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, psychometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics as it relates to mechanical systems design.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems, using engineering software to develop designs, specifications, and calculations.
• Support engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems for the vertical building industry.
• Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively.
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
• Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects.
• Assist in project planning and scheduling tasks to help meet project deadlines and objectives.
• Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical solutions.
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure engineering designs meet standards.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and contribute to development efforts within IMEG.
• Work within project budgets and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
