Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Internship in building design consulting preferred
• EIT certification preferred
• Knowledge of design techniques and producing technical plans and specs
• Strong technical and analytical skills in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics for mechanical systems
• Familiarity with HVAC load calculation software and industry standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team collaboration
• Basic BIM software knowledge; MS Office proficiency
• Willingness to travel up to 5% and occasional overnight stays

Responsibilities

• Assist design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems per code and IMEG standards
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication
• Support execution of consulting projects as part of a project team
• Contribute to project planning and scheduling to meet deadlines
• Document design decisions and monitor progress with clients
• Analyze tasks and propose innovative engineering solutions
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical solutions
• Participate in IMEG quality control to meet standards
• Stay updated on industry trends and contribute to R&D within IMEG
• Prioritize safety in all engineering work and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions
