Job summary

HNTB in Newark, NJ seeks an engineering intern to assist in producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, plans and specs for diverse infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with the project team to apply engineering techniques and contribute to successful project delivery.

The position is open to current/former HNTB interns. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with MicroStation and AutoCAD is a plus,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CAD tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of MicroStation/AutoCAD is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
• Supports the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
• Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
• Supports engineering teams with various tasks including research, data collection, field investigations, development and design of projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned
