Job summary

HNTB in Newark, NJ is seeking an intern to support engineering teams on a variety of projects. This role involves assisting assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic engineering tasks learned in post-secondary programs.

You will help with drawing prep, research, and documentation, and you'll be exposed to introductory shop drawing procedures, with guidance from peers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
• Fundamental engineering concepts and algebraic principles.
• Basic shop drawing and submittal procedures understanding.

Responsibilities

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
• Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
