Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road, a division of Austin Industries, is seeking entry-level engineers for projects in the Austin–San Antonio area. You will rotate through Operations, Estimating, Surveying, Scheduling and Engineering to gain exposure to key components of the business.

This role targets new graduates and emphasizes learning, collaboration, and hands-on experience in a 100% employee-owned company known for its heavy civil highway work.

Qualifications

• New/recent college graduate with August 2026–May 2027 graduation window.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project controls and policy compliance activities.
• Help create and update project schedules and Earned Value metrics.
• Assist in surveying planning, calculations and equipment use.
• Support engineering tasks: earthwork, design reviews and drafting.
• Participate in estimating: price components, bids, site reviews.
• Other duties as assigned to support field operations.
